If you live in a sunny country like Pakistan, then you will have to deal with the harmful effects of the sun. The sun’s rays can cause skin cancer, premature aging, and wrinkles. The best way to protect yourself from these harmful UV rays is by using sunscreen or sunblock. Sunscreens are available both in cream and lotion form while sunblocks are only available as lotions or gels. However, there is no difference between them as they provide similar protection against UVA and UVB radiation. Sunscreens also come with SPF numbers on their labels while some even have additional ingredients like zinc oxide or titanium dioxide that protect your skin from UVA rays better than regular SPF-rated creams do.
Sunscreens and sunblocks are the most important products in summers. These products protect your skin from the harmful UV rays of the sun. Sunscreen is a lot more important than sunblock, which is less important than sunscreen.
So let’s find out what makes a good sunscreen or a bad one?
The sun is a vital part of life on Earth. Our planet needs it to keep our climate stable and healthy, but it can also be dangerous if you’re not careful.
Sunlight contains ultraviolet (UV) radiation, which can cause skin damage when it’s overexposed to the sun’s UV rays. This type of damage includes sunburns, premature aging or wrinkles, eye problems like cataracts and damage to your skin cells that may result in cancer.
If you want to enjoy the warm rays without worrying about these consequences, then you need to wear sunscreen while outdoors in order to protect yourself from harmful UV radiation.
Sunscreens and sunblocks are not the same things.
these are a lot more popular than sunblocks, but many people don’t know what makes them different from each other. Sunscreens are lotions or creams that are applied to the skin before going out in the sun. They’re usually white in color and tend to be thinner than sunblocks, which tend to be thicker and more opaque.
While both types of products achieve similar results (they protect your skin from harmful UV rays), it’s important for you to know what kind of protection each type provides in order for you to choose one that is right for your needs.
Before you decide to buy a sunscreen, it is necessary that you know what type of skin you have. There are numerous sunscreens available in the market and each one has different features for different types of skins. So firstly, figure out what type of skin you have and then go ahead and purchase a suitable one for your needs.
Sunscreen is something which protects our body from UV rays during the sunlight time. If someone doesn’t use any sunscreen when exposed to sunlight then there can be many problems related to their health and appearance such as acne, wrinkles etc., This is why using sunscreen is very necessary these days as everyone wants to look attractive with good health also at their age bracket! So if someone has oily or sensitive type then they must visit their doctor before purchasing any kind of products for themselves!
There are two kinds of UV rays; UVA & UVB.
UVA rays are the ones that cause skin cancer. These rays are longer, so they can penetrate deeper into your skin than the shorter-wave ultraviolet B (UVB) rays. Both types of UV radiation can cause changes in your DNA, which may lead to skin cancer or other health problems later in life.
The SPF number is a measure of how well a sunscreen protects you from ultraviolet B rays, which are the main cause of sunburn and skin cancer. An SPF 15 sunscreen will block 93% of UVB rays, while an SPF 30 blocks 97%, and an SPF 50 blocks 98%.
Higher numbers don’t mean better protection – they only indicate that the product is more effective at blocking UVB rays than lower numbers. It’s best to choose one with an SPF of at least 15 (the National Cancer Institute recommends using one with at least SPF 30), but there is no need to go beyond 50 unless you’re spending extended periods outdoors in harsh sunlight or doing activities that require extra protection such as swimming or snowboarding.
Sunscreens and sunblocks are not the same things
Sunscreens are chemical-based products that contain ingredients such as avobenzone, oxybenzone, octocrylene, homosalate and octyl salicylate. These ingredients protect the skin from harmful UV rays by absorbing them. Sunblock on the other hand is a physical barrier that acts as an obstacle between you and the sun’s UV rays. It reflects light particles away from your skin rather than absorbing them like a sunscreen does.
The active ingredient in both sunscreens and sunblocks is zinc oxide (ZnO). However they also contain different inactive ingredients depending on their purpose of use. For example while one may be thickly textured to protect large areas of your body at once another might be lightened for sensitive areas like your face or neckline so as not to leave behind an oily residue when worn under makeup application later on during the day!
There are two types of UV rays, UVB &UVA.
Now that you know how to choose the right sunblock for your skin type and how to protect yourself from both UVA and UVB rays, it’s time to go out in the sun!
